JM is an active member and on the board/the steering committee of the Haga Initiative. The Haga Initiative - Business for active climate responsibility - is a climate network, which JM was a part of funding in 2010. The Haga Initiative aims to:

- Decrease the emissions from business,
- Raise the climate issue as one of the most critical issues in the future ,
- Act as a forerunner for companies that take active climate responsibility.

2. JM has publicly committed to Fossil Free Sweden's roadmap for the Construction and civil engineering sector, which means that JM will actively work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions according to a sector-specific roadmap. For example, the long-term target for this sector is to be climate-neutral by 2045.

These initiatives are consistent with JM's climate change strategy as the targets are aligned with JM's climate targets and the overall aim to continue the efforts to reduce energy use both in the homes built and on its building sites. Since JM is on the board/steering committee of the Haga Initiative, JM is a part of the ongoing dialogue at the initative and with the members to make sure that the activities are aligned with JM's vision and strategy.
