Balchem demonstrates strong oversight of sustainability and ESG through its Board’s Corporate Governance & Nominating Committee, which “reviews our sustainability-related practices and monitors the company’s progress in this area,” supported by its “Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) Management Team” and a “Sustainability Steering Committee” led by the “Head of Sustainability,” with the Governance Committee “periodically, and at least annually, review[ing] Balchem’s sustainability efforts.” However, we found no evidence of any governance structures, processes, or oversight bodies specifically governing lobbying activities—direct or indirect—nor any mechanisms to align its lobbying with climate-related policies.
