China General Plastics Corp’s disclosures centre on its ESG governance framework, with the ESG Committee chaired by an independent director that "convenes meetings twice a year to oversee the implementation of ESG initiatives" and where "each operating unit provides sustainability-related information, including identification results of stakeholder, issues of concern and responses, material issues, ESG plans and execution outcomes." However, this framework relates exclusively to broad ESG topics and makes no reference to any oversight, committee, or process to govern direct or indirect lobbying activities or to align lobbying with climate or policy positions. We found no evidence of a lobbying governance policy, a named individual or body overseeing lobbying, or a mechanism to monitor or manage the company’s lobbying efforts.
