Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]To ensure that all Group's members have a common approach that is also consistent with the Group's strategy and policy on climate change, this organisation is supported by a Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and a Corporate Sustainable Development Department that both meet regularly. Their role is to ensure that the policies and strategies are defined and communicated top-down. At the same time, targets have been defined with climate related performance indicators covering all value chain. For example, they are about energy consumption, electricity mix, direct and indirect CO2 emissions, purchase of goods and services, optimized production routes and supply chain, business development in Low-Carbon energies. Relevant data are collected / consolidated monthly and reported down to top in the format of quarterly performance reports. Action plans have been defined at regions and plants levels to succeed and progress. Top management is informed so that it can refine Vallourec's climate strategy, its objectives (ie. Science-Based Targets) and allocate human and financial resources to achieve the climate-related goals through a continuous improvement process.
