Brown & Brown’s disclosures outline broad ESG oversight responsibilities, including advising the Board on “sustainable management and climate-related risks of the Company’s activities”, monitoring and overseeing the implementation of “the Company’s strategy on environmental, health and safety, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and other public policy matters”, and reviewing and approving “ESG-related disclosures”. However, we found no evidence of any governance process dedicated to lobbying activities: there is no mention of oversight or alignment measures for direct or indirect lobbying, no description of policies or procedures to monitor lobbying, and no named individual or committee responsible for lobbying governance.
