Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]Government entities are part of Arcos Dorados' stakeholders. The main dialogue mechanisms with government entities are financial statements, Form 20-F, the annual Social Impact and Sustainable Development Report, and the company website. These global mechanisms allow engagement activities to be consistent across countries.
Arcos Dorados' VP of Government Relations is responsible for the involvement in discussions of the law and for the communication with policy makers. This team also follows up on the development of legislative projects related to ESG issues.
Arcos Dorados is signatory and active member of several initiatives, including CDP, Business Council for Sustainable Development Argentina (CEADS), Companies for Sustainable Development (DERES Uruguay), Business Commitment for Recycling (CEMPRE Chile and Uruguay), Brazilian Roundtable on Sustainable Livestock (GTPS Brazil), Argentine Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (MACS Argentina), Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and "Vision 30/30† Colombia (ANDI). These are all consistent with Arcos Dorados' climate change strategy and in line with the restaurant and commercial sector.
