Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your external engagement activities are consistent with your climate commitments and/or climate transition plan?[…]As one of the pioneer company in Korean food&beverage business, Lotte Wellfood is joining various organizations related to food industry with huge responsibility, such as FKI(Federation of Korean Industries), KFIA(Korea Food Industry Association), and KFCRA(Korea Aseptic Carton Recycling Association). These institutions hold regular general meetings with the aim of delivering gathered opinions of companies to the government, which include a request governmental support and deregulation for companies to strengthen eco-friendly management related to climate change response. These activities are consistent with following climate commitments and transition plan of Lotte Wellfood. In June 2022, Lotte Wellfood has declared the Statement on Environmental Management as standard of couduct for all employees. It is based on the UNFCCC(United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) which includes the goals of the Paris Agreement. In addition, Lotte Wellfoods joined RE100 and has announded a long-term roadmap to implement 100% renewable energy conversion and carbon neutrality by 2040, with a mid-term goal of reducing GHG emission by 30% compared to 2022 and increasing the share of renewable energy usage to 50% of total energy usage by 2030.
