Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]Genomma Lab engages with external stakeholder (e.g. Mexican Stock Exchange Sustainability Committee, CASIC, CANIPEC) and with our internal stakeholders to ensure our direct and indirect activities that influence policy, are consistent with our overall climate strategy. We believe our commitment and performance demonstrate business support for climate. We have developed, as part of CANIPEC's Grupo Empresarial en Economía Circular (GEECI), the Plan for Circular Economy and Post-consumer Waste Management of Containers and Packaging of the Personal and Home Care Industry. In 2021 we joined GEECI to meet our goals linked to the Circular Economy Act and the Plastics Commitments, thus promoting regulatory, state and federal compliance regarding the circular economy and recycling. Our president of the Global Sustainability Committee is also consulted in the event of proposed policy engagement of relevance to climate change and the company´s global sustainability committee must agree.
The laws that we must adhere to are the following: Ley de Aguas Nacionales LAN, Ley General de Equilibrio Ecológico y Protección al Ambiente LGEEPA, Ley General de Prevención y Gestión Integral de Residuos LGPGIR, and Ley General de Cambio Climático LGCC. Therefore, when changes are made to these laws, we must follow them.
