Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]We have governance in place through the ESG committee membership which includes the Chairman, CEO and CFO in addition to other non executive Directors. The CEO has overall responsibility for climate change to enable broad oversight of any potential in consistencies. They are supported by the specialist role of our Group Head of Social Value to ensure we have a consistent approach across the Group in relation to this strategy.
We have also a centralised list of entities with we engage such as trade associations, businesses and NGOs, which is regularly reviewed and challenged to ensure we are engaging with those with most material to our business and those with the most influence in areas which matter to our stakeholders. Partnerships and engagements relating to climate are approved by our Group Head of Social Value.
As the geography of our business operations is UK-based (except for our Hong Kong sourcing office) this enables our engagement to be consistent with that of generally UK policies, laws and regulations.
