On a regular basis, the Committee reviews and validates the detailed strategies elaborated by the different business divisions and geographies. It also ensures regular review of the climate change action plans and performance results, through internal indicators.
The Executive Committee decisions regarding environment and biodiversity are implemented in all the business divisions and geographies of the Group. The Committee is particularly involved on the topics of climate, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and circular economy.
The Orange Group has an Environmental division at Group level, which defines, coordinates, and regularly monitors its engagement activities to ensure the consistency with the overall climate change strategy. It sets up all the business and country preparatory steering committees on scope 3, trajectories and other environmental subjects to monitor our climate and environment commitments. It also undertakes all anticipatory and forward-looking actions on Climate issues.
Subsequently, the main engagements of the Orange Group, namely its activities within the GSMA (Global System for Mobile Communications), the ITU (International Telecommunication Union), the EC (European Commission) and the JAC (Joint Alliance for CSR) is supervised by the Environmental division and closely followed by executive committee.
The circular economy implementation in the business model of Orange is also monitored by a strategic group committee. It covers all directions of the Orange Group, namely Networks, Marketing, Supply Chain etc. and follows the progress through various KPIs.
