Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]By placing some of our key climate change strategy stakeholders in the position to engage directly, we ensure that the positions we take in these engagements are consistent with the positions we take as a company. We engage with our Trade Associations in both the United States (Power Tool Institute) and Europe (European Power Tool Association) providing human resources and expertise in drafting position papers and representing these associations in meetings with key legislators to present the relevant position paper either in person or in virtual meetings. Our Senior Director of Sustainable Products Heads up the Power Tool Institute Environment Committee and our Global Director of Product Compliance is a Member of the European Power Tool Association Circular Economy Working Group monitoring and influencing position papers relating to European Circular Economy proposals and Sustainable Products Initiative, especially looking at carbon reduction commitments associated with the Sustainable Products Initiative and the potential introduction of product passports.
