Lobbying Governance

SHA delineates a comprehensive sustainability governance structure, noting that “SHA has established the Sustainability Committee for the purpose of continuous and organizational implementation of ESG initiatives,” which “meets at least once every three months … to discuss climate change risks (transition risks and physical risks) and material issues in relation to mitigation of and adaptation to climate change,” and that “the ESG Promotion Department” was established “to strengthen the promotion system for addressing climate change,” but we found no evidence of any internal processes, oversight structures, or monitoring and management procedures specifically governing lobbying activities—direct or indirect—nor any disclosure of an individual or body tasked with reviewing or aligning its lobbying engagement with company policies.
