##### ESG Governance

###### In 2023, we created an ESG Committee at the Board level. The purpose of the ESG Committee is to support the Company's ongoing commitment to environmental, social and governance matters, with a particular emphasis on environmental matters. The ESG Committee is chaired by an experienced energy and sustainability professional with expertise in strategic planning, renewables, energy storage, and ESG management.

The ESG Committee reviews and makes recommendations to the Board regarding Ormat's ESG practices, polices, risks and opportunities. The Ormat ESG team, led by the VP of Investor Relations and ESG Planning and Reporting, oversees the implementation of our ESG strategy and work plan. This includes reporting on ESG related performance metrics to the CEO and the ESG Committee of the Board.

Our VP of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) oversees our environmental and health and safety performance globally, and the VP of Quality, Environmental Health & Safety (QEHS) oversees our environmental and health and safety performance in Israel. The EVP of HR is responsible for our ESG social programs, and the General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer is responsible for governance issues related to ESG. Senior managers across departments support efforts focused on ESG performance and implementation, with guidance provided by the ESG Team, the ESG Committee of the Board, and senior leadership.

###### Political Contributions and Lobbying Activities

Due to our global nature and operations in various countries around the world, we are committed to being a responsible corporate citizen wherever we do business and more so, to comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. To demonstrate our commitment and to solidify our approach within the company, in 2021 Ormat developed a Political Contributions and Activities Policy.

This policy is directly in line with, and acts complementary to, our Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy. The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for the offering and/or giving of political contributions in association with or on behalf of the company.

Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]Ormat Chaired the Geothermal Rising Policy Committee. A continuation of the expansive work of the Geothermal Energy Association (GEA), the Policy Committee is comprised of companies and individuals from a broad spectrum of the geothermal power industry. The Geothermal Rising Policy Committee advocates for public policies that will promote the development and utilization of geothermal resources and provides a forum for the industry to discuss issues and problems.
Ormat deploys lobbyists at the Federal and State levels to influence policy, law, and regulations that impact the climate. Most recently Ormat and the Geothermal Rising were able to seure a decision from the CPUC to procure 1,000 MW of firm, carbon-free, resources like geothermal. This decision has led to the procurement of 363 MW thus far in 2022. Additionally, power from this contract will meet the mid-term reliability procurement mandate set forth by the California Public Utilities Commission. This contract marks a success for Ormat, the geothermal industry, and California load serving entities whose customers will benefit from zero-emission, baseload, and reliable power.
Ormat is committed to principles of Environmental, Social and Governance-related ("ESG†) responsibility - commitments that are achieved through our governance, business activities, policies, frameworks for stakeholder engagement and strategic objectives. We pursue sustainable innovation and leadership in renewable energy across several areas – namely geothermal energy, energy storage, hybrid geothermal and solar PV and recovered energy generation. Each of these directions allows our Company to advance existing practices and push forward to improve our performance in ways that minimize material and energy inputs, maximize energy output and our operational efficiency. For example, one of our established development practices involves the incremental increase of energy production capacity for geothermal plants. We work to better understand the specific properties of a geothermal reservoir and add new energy generation capacities progressively in stages. As such, we strive to deliver more renewable energy while maintaining substantially the same developmental footprint. When it comes to developing new renewable energy plants, we work to understand the needs and concerns of the local stakeholder community and to build lasting relationships and specific community engagement programs designed to meet those needs and concerns.
