Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]Grainger's Director of Corporate Affairs oversees all engagement activity to ensure that it is aligned to the company's business strategies, and oversees the business's sustainability function which includes the business's strategy on climate change. This oversight ensures that any direct or indirect engagement activities in relation to policy are consistent with Grainger's overall sustainability strategy, and business strategy. At meetings of the business's Management Committee and Executive Committee, participants in specific engagement activities (such as those who sit on British Property Federation Committees) feedback on the engagement activities and the outcomes of these, such as discussing policy updates and the business's response to Government consultations. Actions arising from engagement activities are discussed, allocated to a
specific representative and disseminated to appropriate business divisions by the business division representative present at the meeting. We also ensure that Grainger employees are familiar with our climate change strategy by conducting sustainability training, and through communication of our policies which employees are made aware of and are available on our website and intranet. This ensures our employees act consistently with our climate change strategy when undertaking all activities, including those that influence policy.
