We are, however, open to dialogue with policy makers on matters related to climate change. Further, in our corporate strategy, dormakaba has set the goal to increase the revenue share of products with environmental and/or health product declarations to greater than 30% by 2021. The company's environmental product declarations (EPDs), which are third-party verified and report the environmental impact and greenhouse gas emissions throughout the life cycle of our products, are issued by the Institut Bauen und Umwelt e. V. (IBU). The IBU developed the EPD standards in close cooperation with manufacturers, independent experts from research, Germany´s Ministry of Construction, the German Environmental Agency (UBA), and health and environmental experts. As a member of IBU, dormakaba thus ensures that indirect activities which may influence the policy of the mentioned ministries are consistent with the overall climate change strategy.
