Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]Climate-related engagement is reported to the quarterly Sustainability Committee, chaired by the CEO and attended by Heads of Department from across the business. Updates may cover the work of membership organisations such as the Better Building Partnership (BBP) and British Property Federation (BPF) or latest government consultations or trends. The outcomes of this are also provided quarterly to the Board. A recent example of engagement activity consistent with our overall climate strategy would be the approval given in Sustainability Committee for GPE's support for Part Z of building regulations which would require whole life carbon disclosure.
In addition, our Sustainability and Social Impact Director is a member of the Executive Committee and so this forum can also be used between formal Committee meetings to ensure that the wider business is kept informed of climate-related policy and how it may influence our strategy. The Chief Executive is also a member of the Policy Committee of the British Property Federation which receives regular updates from the Chair of the BPF Sustainability Committee on its activities. Our Sustainability and Social Impact Director is Chair of the Better Buildings Partnership
Together, this all helps to ensure that engagement by the Sustainability and Social Impact Director reflects company policy and views.
