For Essity's external positions we have a governance process to secure alignment and proper decision making. Depending on the character of the external position the Executive Management team or parts of the team decides on all Essity positions. The Public policy positions are developed through our Public Affairs governance structure. We have Group Public Affairs Committee reporting to the Executive Management Team on Public Affairs priorities set for the company clearly linked to our Business Strategy. Climate is one such priority. We carefully monitor various public policy processes on international, regional and national level and how they affect our business. The VP for Public Affairs is leading the Group Public Affairs Committee and its linked PA priority networks focusing on different policy areas securing strategic analyses, positioning and creating dialogue. Through its members it links to the work in the different trade associations, both on national and international level, and engagement with policy makers, to secure consistency and alignment with Essity´s climate and energy agenda. Given Essity´s investments across Europe and globally, the company needs to reach a common understanding of its energy position and exposure regarding regulatory issues.
