THG-Management erfolgt bei uns zentral und konzernweit. Unser Vorstandsvorsitzender und das Sustainability Committee, dem er vorsteht, verantworten die Überwachung und Umsetzung der Klimastrategie. Zwei Sub-Committees, jeweils geleitet von einem Vorstandsmitglied, befassen sich vertieft mit klimabezogenen Themen. Das Climate & Energy Committee ist für unsere Scope-1- und -2-Emissionen sowie für die Energieeffizienz zuständig. Es überwacht die Umsetzung von Konzernprojekten und entwickelt unsere Klimastrategie kontinuierlich weiter. Das Value Chain Circularity & Product Stewardship Committee erarbeitet die Strategie für den Umgang mit unseren Scope-3-Emissionen. Klimabezogene Risiken und Chancen analysieren und bewerten wir im Rahmen des Risikomanagementprozesses. Unser Finanzvorstand leitet das verantwortliche Corporate Risk Committee (siehe Anhang: Klimabezogene Risiken und Chancen).

Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]LANXESS implemented a process to discuss, evaluate and assess its political activities on energy supply, energy efficiency and climate change with respect to LANXESS overall climate change strategy in a steering committee, the Climate and Energy Sub-Committee. This committee includes members from all internally relevant stakeholder groups, such as the
- corporate development group,
- the purchasing department,
- the investor relations group,
- the corporate communications group
- as well as the largest and most energy intensive business units.
In the case that new developments are identified as important for LANXESS and require strategic or operational response, they are communicated to the Climate and Energy Sub-Committee who drive the response activities. It is led by a board member and is part of the LANXESS Sustainability Committee.
