Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]In 2021, following the launch of Net Zero, HEINEKEN made a review of the platforms we were engaged with. We decided to focus on key platforms that had an aligned approach when it comes to climate change.
- We decided to step up our efforts with the World Economic Forum and signed the stakeholder capitalism pledge. Our CEO has joined the CEO Climate Leaders alliance
- We decided to join RE100 and the Climate group to promote additionality and new generation of renewable electricity across the world. HEINEKEN. has a unique footprint in developing countries where RE100 and HEINEKEN can benefit from a closer partnership
- We strengthened our participation in RE-Source, a European platform to remove barriers for corporate to source renewable energy
- We joined the Climate Pledge to be part of a community of corporates that aim to reach net zero by 2040
- We partnered with the Consumer Group Forum and our customers (Carrefour and Tesco) to create synergies and alignment when it comes to the carbon agenda.
- Finally we signed up with the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) to ensure our advertising promotes responsible consumption and low carbon practices

All in all, we have joined platforms that fits HEINEKEN ambition and have a critical size to influence the policy makers.
