Swiss Life Holding AG provides clear transparency on the specific climate policies it engages with, naming France’s plan bâtiment durable, Switzerland’s CO2 taxation laws through the “Energy Model,” and the City and Region of Hannover’s “100% for climate protection” master plan. It explains that "The Energy Model is part of the implementation of the Swiss CO2 taxation laws and allows companies to comply jointly in a group with the CO2 legislation by jointly committing to increase energy efficiency until the year 2030." However, the company offers no details on its lobbying mechanisms—its contributions via the Green Building Observatory, Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, Swiss Climate Foundation, and the Klima-Allianz der Stadt Hannover are described only in terms of surveys, working groups, or membership, with no indication of letters, meetings, or target policymakers. It also does not set out specific outcomes beyond the Energy Model’s energy efficiency commitment, leaving its desired legislative or regulatory changes undefined.

Swiss Life discloses that its "Political Communication steering committee" "defines the strategic orientation of its political work", is composed of executives including the "Group CEO and Group CFO, the CEOs of the divisions headquartered in Switzerland, the General Counsel, the Chief Risk Officer, the Heads of Group Communications and Group Human Resources", and "meets four times a year" to "define the political priorities". It also states that its "Government Relations & Public Affairs team of the Swiss Life Group reports to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and bears process responsibility", and that "political advocacy work and communication are closely coordinated with umbrella and industry associations in all the divisions". While these disclosures indicate a formal body overseeing Swiss Life’s lobbying activities, we found no evidence of any policy, process or review mechanism to align either its direct or indirect lobbying specifically with climate-related objectives, nor any climate-focused oversight, monitoring or alignment procedures.
