Lobbying Governance

Atos embeds its climate lobbying alignment in its core Sense of Purpose, stating that this “informs all Atos activities, including Atos’ efforts to engage in activities that could either directly or indirectly influence policy, law, or regulation that may impact the climate,” and reinforces this through the Environment section of the Atos Code of Ethics to which “Atos employees are required to adhere.” It mandates that “each year, all Atos employees are required to successfully complete a mandatory training on the Code of Ethics,” which is intended to ensure that “their engagement activities are consistent with this strategy.” While these measures indicate Atos has taken steps to align employee-driven engagement with its climate goals, we found no evidence of a dedicated policy or process for reviewing trade-association positions or direct lobbying activities, nor a named individual or committee responsible for overseeing lobbying alignment.
