Our Chief Executive, Jane Karuku, is ultimately accountable for overall performance against ESG goals and targets, while responsibility for the component parts of Society 2030: Spirit of Progress is shared between members of our Executive Committee. In this way, Society 2030: Spirit of Progress is embedded across the whole organisation, with senior executives being accountable for its delivery. To continue to improve our oversight of ESG, our Board receives updates on our ESG strategy and performance every quarter. [...] For EABL, senior management bonuses are directly linked to performance against Society our 2030 targets. While sustainability as a business function sits in our Corporate Relations Department, we are striving for strong sustainability principles, and reporting frameworks across the entire business. Building awareness and ownership around Society 2030 is a continuing priority for us, and as a result we can observe a positive correlation between the extent to which Society 2030 has affected the bonuses.
