Wolfspeed does not disclose any governance structure or process for overseeing or aligning its lobbying or policy engagement activities with its climate strategy. The evidence shows that the company’s focus is on its business mission (“Our mission is to lead the innovation and commercialization of SiC and gallium nitride (GaN)…for a responsible, energy efficient future.”) and that “Future activities will be driven by our corporate Sustainability goals, which include a climate change-related target,” but it explicitly states “We have not directly engaged with policy makers on climate-related issues as they relate to our Power and Radio Frequency products,” choosing instead to “engage with other organizations, such as the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA).” There is no mention of any policy, monitoring or management procedure for lobbying, nor any named individual or committee responsible for overseeing lobbying alignment with the company’s climate-related objectives, and we found no evidence of a review, sign-off or audit process for either direct or indirect lobbying activities.
