Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your engagement activities are consistent with your overall climate change strategy[…]In a normal day-to-day screening of our work, work policies, various targets and projects, we mirror our activities with our climate change strategy and environmental policy, of which the former (climate change strategy) is described in our broader strategy and the latter (environmental policy) is an its own internal policy document.

Our GHG emission reduction steering group aligns emissions reduction activities. This group has representatives from each of our tire factories (Finland, Russia and the US) and meetings are held once in a quarter.

This group ensures a process to ensure all direct and indirect activities to influence policy are consistent with our overall climate change strategy.

Describe the process(es) your organization has in place to ensure that your external engagement activities are consistent with your climate commitments and/or climate transition plan?[…]As a pioneering company in the industry, Nokian Tyres was the first tire company to have its science-based targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions approved by the Science Based Targets initiative in 2020. The new goal to reach net zero by 2050 incorporates additional targets to reduce emissions and commitment to SBTi's most ambitious guidelines to limit the increase in global warming to 1.5°C in line with the Paris Climate Agreement.
