PetroChina presents a comprehensive ESG management system in which the Board regularly reviews significant ESG matters and continuously strengthens ESG management through identification of issues, issue assessment and prioritisation, risk control, inspection and supervision, and embeds ESG considerations ... in our daily management systems, with regular inspection and supervision of ESG implementation, overseen by a Board-led Sustainable Development Committee and an ESG Management Working Committee with clearly defined roles. However, the disclosures make no mention of any policies, procedures, or responsible individuals for governing the companys direct or indirect lobbying activities or ensuring alignment of such lobbying with its climate objectives, and we found no evidence of trade association reviews, lobbying alignment mechanisms, or a designated oversight body for climate lobbying.
